I am thankful for...

Since Thanksgiving is on Thursday, I thought I would reflect on the things I am most thankful for.

*I am thankful for my relationship with God-He has never failed me!
*I am thankful for my husband-He is my best friend and we have a wonderful marriage.
*I am thankful for my mom-She is me and I am her...we are just alike and that's what makes us great friends...She has always been there for me and continues to show her support.
*I am thankful for my dad-No one compares to my dad...He is a one of a kind...There is nothing he can't do.
*I am thankful for my little brother-Corey and I have an inseparable relationship...It has been awesome to watch him grow up these last few years.
*I am thankful for my extended family-They keep me in check!!!
*I am thankful for my in-laws, brother-in-law, and my niece-They have always made me feel like part of the family.
*I am thankful for my friends and what they mean to me (You know who you are!!!)

Last, but not least...I am thankful for my happiness...God has given Jeff and I so much to be thankful for...We owe it all to Him.

Rest and Relaxation

Jeff and I recently got back from Panama City, FL with my family. I think we counted about 22 family members total!!! We had such a great time. The men played golf every morning and fished with my Dad, as he was the fishing guide. The women slept late, layed out on the beach, and did a little gossiping and shopping. This is about the 6th year the fam has went to the beach together so...I think it's safe to say that it is now a tradition. It was nice to have a break from work and get to spend some quality time with my husband and family.

Ready For Fall

Okay...I usually love the summer weather, but enough already! It is September and so hot! I am so ready for fall weather. There is nothing more refreshing than a fall breeze. I've already put out my fall flag and now I'm just waiting for the Mason's Farm Pumpkin Festival on Sept. 27th to buy some pumpkins and mums to decorate with. I also can't wait until October. The whole Napier clan is going to the beach on the 4th and of course...my birthday is the 16th!!!

Oh yeah...Jeff and I purchased a house lot from my parents here in Ambleside. We hope to start building a house in the next year or so. I'll post pics of the land soon. Well, Jeff just popped us some popcorn...we are going to watch a movie. I love couch time with my hubby :)

Our First Anniversary

Jeff and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on June 23rd. We rented a cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN. and had a wonderful, relaxing week. The cabin was so cute with a private outside hot tub, full kitchen, jacuzzi tub and it was decorated in a "Cherokee" theme. On Monday (the 23rd) when I woke up Jeff had two envelopes waiting on me to open. One of the envelopes was a beautiful card. Jeff even wrote a little something on the inside (which he doesn't do that often, so it meant so much that he did). The other was a homemade gift certificate that Jeff made at work. The certificate was for $50 to spend anywhere that I wanted. The sweetest part was what the certificate said in small print "For: Redemption on our first wedding anniversary, on which, the traditional gift is made of paper (not because Jeff forgot to buy something and he whipped something together last minute!!!" I thought that was cute! I got Jeff something made of paper also; a gift certificate at Sears. He is really into tools now :) Later that evening Jeff planned a special dinner for us at Ruth's Chris. Neither of us had eaten there before and it was quite a dinner. Our steaks were over $30 EACH and to die for!!! We felt like celebrities. For the rest of the week we did some shopping, went to the zoo and Cades Cove, played put-put golf (I lost by two strokes) and on Wed. we celebrated Jeff's birthday at Tony Roma's. Later that weekend we met up with Jeff's parents, brother and niece at Carowinds. Carowinds is a lot like Kings Island or Kentucky Kingdom. I am terrified of roller coasters so it was quite an experience. I rode the small stuff and left the other to Jeff and his brother, Jimmy. Jimmy gave me a hard time because I screamed a lot when I was on a ride...maybe because it was the kiddie rides :) I hope our kids are a lot like Jeff when it comes to riding roller coasters.

Wonderful Weekend

Tomorrow is the Lincoln Memorial Golf Tournament so my in-laws are coming in to play. My mother-in-law (Cathy) and I have a wonderful relationship. Jeff jokes with me that she loves me more than she does Jeff. LOL!!! So not true...but she does love me! I always look forward to getting to see them.
